This tour guarantes an extraordinary experience of tracking Chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest National Park and the Mountain Gorillas in the tropical forest of the Volcanoes National Park. You will take pleasure in the breathtaking outlooks of the misty forests and variety of wildlife during the trek.
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali - travel to Nyungwe forest - canopy walk
Arrival
• A transfer from the airport (or hotel) can be arranged for an extra cost.
• Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Pick up by the driver guide and you ought to be finished with your breakfast and just ready to depart from the hotel in Rwanda Kigali town. The destination is Nyungwe forest National Park with an en-route stop to some historical sites on the main road like King’s palace and museums in Nyanza. Arrive in time for lunch and check in to your booked accommodation. Later in the Afternoon, you will have a canopy walk deep into the forest combined with a walk around the tea plantation and return to your Hotel Dinner and Overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking - Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early, enjoy your breakfast and get to the starting point for a debrief from the park officials/ guide on the do’s and don’t before you set off into the forest for chimpanzee trekking experience. After trekking, return to the lodge for lunch, check out and transfer to Volcanoes National park. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Gorilla tracking - Evening community walk
Have an early breakfast and be at the starting point at least 30 minutes earlier for a briefing from the trekking guide about the Mountain Gorillas that you will be seeing in the volcanoes forest.
When you return from the gorilla trek you will go ahead and visit Buhanga forest for some Kinigi Cultural Village with dinner and overnight at your lodge/ hotel.
Day 4: Drive back to Kigali - city tour - drop off
Have breakfast, then drive to Kigali for a city tour where you will visit the genocide memorial, local foods markets and artisan markets. You will have an opportunity to shop for Souvenir in local hand craft markets and then finally make your way to the airport for your return flight back home/ drop off at desired destination.
